In August of 1995, several members of the Fort LeBoeuf School District Parent Booster group met to discuss the possibility of starting a FOUNDATION that would provide for the needs of the students.

Over the course of several months money management firms were interviewed. The groups included Evans Capitol Management, Erie Community FOUNDATION, Paine Webber, Merrill-Lynch, and Ware and Parsons.

After much discussion, the firm of Ware and Parsons was selected. During this time the by-laws for the FOUNDATION were written and adopted and the proper tax identification numbers were received.

The start up money that was available through gifts and memorial donations was approximately $5,000.00.
